I wanted to practise three things on my online Social Security account today, all of which are described in their promotions as being available to do: ane. To modify my phone number 2. To alter my Directly Deposit information 3. To request a new Social Security carte du jour.

When I went to each section and followed the instructions that were provided, the only options offered were to call by phone or to visit a local office. The "Edit" buttons that were described in the instructions, did non exist. Do other people accept this same problem? Has it ever been this manner with online accounts or is it a temporary fault?

Merely guessing, simply did you simply recently get admission to your online account? Mayhap there'south a waiting period to be able to make changes.

When I filed for SS, I was able to practice the whole matter online. A friend of mine couldn't.

I've tried twice in the terminal five or seven days to login, and both times the system was not functioning - information technology would not move.

I seem to call back they but allow access during business hours for some reason.

I just went to SSA online and logged in. When I did, it asked me if they had the correct phone number. It then showed me an pick to request a new bill of fare. I then went to my profile and can meet where I can change my banking info.

I just logged in and I had the opportunity to update my telephone number and other personal data and alter direct eolith info. However, I could not asking a new SS carte du jour:

So stupid. Why exercise they even give that selection. It should say to request a new card you have to get to your local office.

Apparently what they don't say upfront is that "getting a new card" is NOT available in ALL states.
